Volunteer Ambassador Coordinator

K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs to veterans suffering from the invisible wounds of war, such as Post-traumatic Stress. Our unique, in-house program helps change the lives of American heroes by pairing them with a battle buddy, who was likely a rescue dog, and then teaching him or her to utilize that dog to mitigate the symptoms of their wounds. It takes a team effort to make this happen. Our dedicated staff, no matter what department, comes into work knowing that they are helping to save lives, both human and furry! Our mission-first culture has guided our incredible success and growth. In order to help fuel our life-changing program, we are in search of a Volunteer Ambassador Coordinator with at least 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role.

Our candidate will have experience recruiting and training, as well as providing direction to a group of people. This position will require you to have attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and analyze data.

To succeed in this position, you must have strong verbal, written and oral communication skills. You will also need people skills and be a strong public speaker. Knowledge of management principles related to programs that involve a cadre of volunteers. Associate’s degree is required and the ability to work as a team.

Warrior Relations Specialist

Our mission-first culture has guided our incredible success and growth. In order to help fuel our life-changing program, we are in search of a Warrior Relations Specialist with at least 1-3 years of experience working with veterans. Our candidate will have experience working with Veteran Service Organizations and familiar with U.S. military veteran topics and paperwork. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the Warrior application process including approval of applications and scheduling warriors for class. You will maintain all communications with the Warriors until they arrive for their scheduled class and after graduation. You will need to be able to react quickly should time-sensitive issues arise.

To succeed in this position, you must have excellent attention to detail, as responding swiftly to our warriors is of the utmost importance. The selected candidate will be organized and able to multitask efficiently. You must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with Warriors and their families effectively. You must also be able to work with persons with mental and physical disabilities. A Bachelor’s degree and veteran status are preferred as well as legal experience.

Property Caretaker

Our unique, in-house program helps change the lives of American heroes by pairing them with a battle buddy, who was likely a rescue dog, and then teaching him or her to utilize that dog to mitigate the symptoms of their wounds. It takes a team effort to make this happen. Our dedicated staff, no matter what department, comes into work knowing that they are helping to save lives, both human and furry! Our mission-first culture has guided our incredible success and growth. In order to help fuel our life-changing program, we are in search of a full-time Property Caretaker. Our candidate will have computer skills in MS-Office at an Intermediate level, be organized with a great attention to detail. This position is also responsible for conducting facility tours, and giving presentations on and off campus to educate the public. Therefore, excellent communication skills are a must.

In order to help fuel our life-changing program, we are in search of a Property Caretaker with at least 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. This position is located Alachua Florida. Our candidate will have experience performing minor and major maintenance of all buildings and equipment. Maintain landscaping and landscaping equipment.
