As the first month of 2018 comes to a close, a great milestone has been achieved - the doors to our newest facility are now open. Located just outside of Gainesville, Florida, the Gold Family Campus was donated to K9s For Warriors last year. Since then, the property has gone from a private, luxuary residence to a multi-purpose training facility. This incredible campus is nestled within 67 acres and includes: a stocked lake, pecan orchard, nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and much more.
The Gold property will be the designated training center for female warriors in K9s' program. On January 31st, the Gold Property dedication ceremony was held. K9s staff members and Alachua County residents were honored to be in attendance for the ribbon cutting event.
“The Gold Family Campus is a monumental asset to the K9s program that will enable us to quickly and efficiently reach our goals to save more lives in 2018,” said Rory Diamond, K9s For Warriors CEO. “The small-town setting of the property is perfect to give our female warriors peace as they heal. This campus seems like it was meant for K9s For Warriors.”
Not only does the campus have plenty of room for warriors, but service dogs will also have room to run and explore as well. With acres and acres of land, our furry friends will feel just as free as our warriors. This campus was donated out of love and hope. It was named after our donors, the Gold family.
