K9s For Warriors would like to thank you for your service to our country!
K9s For Warriors provides ADI accredited service dogs to military veterans with a clinical, service-related diagnoses of PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Military Sexual Trauma. We receive applications to our program from Warriors across the United States. Upon acceptance, and after a waiting period, Warriors travel to our residential training facility in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Once on our campus, Warriors spend 21 days training with their new service dog, both on campus and off-site. K9s For Warriors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and provides all room, board, and amenities during the training course.
K9s For Warriors’ current service dog training program does not include, wheelchair training, mobility scooters (or rolling walkers), training for visual/hearing impairment, retrieval training, or advanced mobility and medical alert issues. K9s For Warriors does not train preexisting owned pets. In addition to breed, height, weight, and health criteria, our service dogs have passed extensive temperament testing and training evaluations. Our kennels house our hand-selected dogs that have been previously trained prior to being placed with a Warrior.
K9s For Warriors is currently updating our application information to better serve our deserving veteran population. For more information on how to apply please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will be able to guide you through the next steps soon. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.
